A mission trip to Eleuthera, Bahamas

Hi there! I’ll try to keep this short! Back in 2018 my brother mentioned a missions trip his church from Orlando is making to a small island called Eleuthera, a few inches (on a map) east of Nassau in the Bahamas. With the hustle and bustle of holidays and holiday traveling, the invite to go with him got shuffled to the back of my mind. As the dates approached, though, it became forefront on my mind. Now I’d even consider this last minute because I wasn’t sure I should go until very recently and the trip is about a month away (March 17-22). After prayer, and way overthinking it, and discussions with friends and family, I’ve decided to go. This was not an easy decision because to make this trip happen I need help and I’m not one who typically seeks out help. Yet here I am.

Donate here through my Facebook fundraiser page.

This trip is all about the people of this island, serving through an organization called Camp Bahamas. We’ll be helping in ways that actually fit my personality pretty well… manual labor like fixing cabins, water systems, house foundations, and then with VBS which will include Bible studies, music, crafts, and sports. I’m very average in all these areas but still can’t wait to use this average-ness to make at least one person’s life better. I believe that Jesus wants to carry our burdens, I know he’s carried mine time and time again, and I want to share that challenge when I have the opportunity. Thank you for any support you can offer, and please message me for more information!

Since 2005, I've called Nashville home. I'm the leader of the pack, which includes an 11-year-old beagle and a 9-year-old blue heeler mix. My days include writing, video editing, dog boarding, and other fun activities. Thanks for checking out my blog, I hope you enjoy it!
