Hello there! Are you fellow dog companion person? I have a nearly-14-year-old and a 12-year-old and lately it’s been stressing me out! I recently brought them to the vet for their annual check-up where they had heart tests and one got scheduled for a surgery. That plus different meds for both, allergies, and elevated numbers for something I don’t remember, I’m a little discombobulated about having 2 aging dogs.
After the surgery, my one pup has to wear a cone for 2 weeks. From the first day, though, she’s actually been SO compliant, a great patient. She’s pretty much accepted that it’s part of her new life, but it will be a grand day when she doesn’t need to wear it anymore.
The first day seemed to last 76 hours but once we got through the learning and the medicine routine, the time has really flown by. I think we’ll manage to do well getting along together and keeping on our adventures!
