After I posted yesterday about a country music song and video I dislike so much, I wondered if I was just being a Scrooge McDuck. I’m not always in a bad mood, ya know! But was I just looking for my next victim? Another celebrity to complain about? To answer that question, I’d need some proof that I’m not the crazy one. The song that inspired this whole thing is called “Nothin’ To Wear” and it’s nothin’ original. Read my post called “Men Like Naked Women” when you have a second but in a nutshell, I call out a song that’s ultimately just a lazy attempt at something sexy in the country music genre. And no, I’m not the crazy one. Because there are plenty of songs that deal with intimate subjects in a creative way that, even apart from the lyrics, are simply good music. Know what I mean? Nothing lazy about these few songs that I’ll use as my evidence…
“You Can Leave Your Hat On” by Joe Cocker…
“Feel Like Making Love” by Bad Company…
And just to show it’s possible in country music, too, here’s Gary Allan with “Nothing On But The Radio”…
