Why is it that whenever one good thing comes along, another good thing is happening simultaneously? It’s like trying to eat chocolate and peanut butter at the same time!! Wait, actually that’s my favorite dessert. But you get my point? When it comes to living in real time where you can’t really be in two places at once, a decision is required. Is there going to be a secret third option? OK, there’s ALWAYS a secret third option but for the predicament I’m in, I haven’t thought through it enough to spark my mind into what that surprise option #3 will be.
So for now… I’ll try to be happy that at least I’m having to pick between two good things. It’s not like one of those “would you rather” questions where you have to pick one of two horrible scenarios. Both of the twinning events are fun and good, I just have to pick one and making decisions like this has never really been my strong suit. I’m sure I’ll overthink it for the next 100 hours and then end up doing something I’d never considered.
Do you have any wisdom to share? Any advice? Should I just flip a coin? Now that I’m typing it out for the first time, I’m thinking I should hold both options up to my theme for 2025: Pursue, Purpose, Person. Which of the two events is more aligned with this theme? I’ll be thinking on it until I hear what you have to say. Chime in below!

Does one option give you the opportunity to boogie to great music, enjoy good food, and the possibility of meeting other interesting people? Does option B give you the chance to share more quality time with your family? Did you make a commitment to one before the other option arose? You didn’t really share that many details, so it’s hard to say which option would be more fun, uplifting, or memorable! And option 3 always exists. Relax at home while sporting your pajamas, reading a good book, watching your favorite movie, and simply enjoying your own company. However, showing up is always half the battle. Maybe you could do both! Is that a possibility?

Option A includes great music, dancing, snack food, and good people! Option B is time with family, so I will try to do both. But A fits with my theme this year so I’m going to ride that wave. Thanks, whoever you are, for giving my decision more clarity!
