More about Cruiser the dog – Truist TV Commercial

I found more info about the star of a new Truist Financial TV ad, Cruiser the dog:

According to Animal Casting Atlanta (via their Facebook page)…

He is a big hilarious rescue dog, and was a series regular on Season 1 of Stranger Things! Can anyone tell us his character name on that show? Cruiser has also been on Sleepy Hollow, MacGuyver and several other shows!

To answer their question, Cruiser’s name in season 1 of Stranger Things was Chester. Here are a few pics of Cruiser, who hasn’t had a DNA test but is probably some kind of terrier. The exact breed is unknown, even by those close to Cruiser. The word “can’ardly” has been used in a humorous way, as in, “you can’ardly tell what they are,” in other words, Cruiser is a loveable mixed breed. He is about 6 years old at the time of this post.

Since 2005, I've called Nashville home. I'm the leader of the pack, which includes an 13-year-old beagle and an 11-year-old blue heeler mix. My days include writing, video editing, and other fun activities. Thanks for checking out my blog, I hope you enjoy it!

  1. Actually I have a rescue dog that was turned over by the owner who was too old to handle her and her brother. My girl’s name is Barllo the owner said she was a 6 month old Irish Wolfhound. Which is what Cruiser looks like. Same curled tail as well.

  2. This is adorable I have a 6 year old terrier mix that could be this dogs twin. Whenever the commercial comes on the T.V. my daughter says its our dog Ziggy!! I wish we could share some photos. We also adopted our dog from a local shelter when he was 2 months old and he is now 6.
