The other day I wrote about something I did twice. It was a new door handle that I bought at an estate sale, months later dropped off at a thrift store, then a week later realized I needed it and had to buy it back. I’m not the only who has done this right? RIGHT??? Well, there is another double double that happened recently. And again, I was on the losing end.
I was determined to kill a wasp flying around in my carport. Which is against my nature, really. Just read this from another wasp encounter a couple of years ago. My advice based on experience: don’t use a broom. I slapped the wasp with the broom which, because the broom isn’t firm, just made the wasp made. Next thing I know the wasp is diving towards me and it stung me right on the forehead. As I turned to run, it dove down again and stung me on my lower back.
My head hurt for maybe an hour, but my back pain lasted for days! It became tight and sore.
That little rascal was winning 2-0, however it cost him his life. When he was stinging my back I was able to smack him with my hand just out of reaction from the pain. He spiraled to the ground where I could finish him off. But for the rest of time the final score will be wasp – 2… and me – 1.
GOSH I HATE LOSING.
I lost twice, of course. Once to the door handle, and then to the wasp. What’s next, I’m not going to be drafted by the Tennessee Titans??
