Bud Light Sunday Football Ad- The Song (Spoiler Alert, it’s NOT Etta James) and More!

Bud Light must’ve robbed a bank to get the money to produce their latest commercial. Nothing but controversy all summer from major backlash after a certain “influencer” used a personalized can in a social media post (It’s just one can!!!). Since then, Bud Light sort of (??) addressed the way they mislabeled their customer base. But also, they haven’t really addressed it at all. Nevertheless, they’ve produced a million commercials in hopes of burying the sins of the past while hoping people can just simply move on and be like Kid Rock, you know, drink their beer again. This is the first commercial I’ve seen specifically for the 2023 football season, so take a look then scroll down for more info about the ad!

The Music. The song is called “A Sunday Kind of Love” and it’s performed by duo The War & Treaty. This is one of the newest covers of the song which was made famous in 1960 by the great Etta James.

Other Covers. The song has been covered quite a few times. Here are renditions by Reba McEntire, Boyz II Men, and Jan and Dean.

Is Bud Light back at last? Get it, At Last by Etta James? Does the war continue, or has there been a treaty signed by fans and Bud Light? Get it, war… and treaty? I’m really trying hard here, people. Bud Light is trying hard, too, so time will tell if that’s the night the lights went out in Georgia Bud Light headquarters.
