Hello and happy holidays… I know we’re not even past Halloween yet but if Gap gets to start doing Christmas, then I will, too, gosh darn it! And we all know Walmart’s had Christmas decorations up since July, let’s not kid ourselves. Speaking of holidays and gifts (The Gap commercial is called “Gifted”), check out my two children’s books Big and Small, God Made Them All, and The Brave Bamboo. Perfect stocking stuffer, if I do say so myself. 🤔

The Stars. I’ll be honest, I only recognized Alanis Morissette in the commercial. But I found a list of the folks featured in the ad. Along with Alanis, there’s authors Jay Shetty and Radhi Devlukia, culinary artists Lester Walker, Pierre Serrao and Jon Gray, model Florence Huntington-Whiteley, singer/songwriter Diana Gordon, model Elsa Hosk with her daughter Tuuli, Swedish model Sabina Karlsson and husband Ricky Jackson, plus actor/singer Rola.

The Music. The soundtrack for this ad is a song from Roy Young called “One Love.”
The song’s also been used in this ad for 1-800-FLOWERS…
Wrap Up. The Gap commercial is a little bland, not really showing anything holiday related at all. But it’s got a feel-good vibe, thanks to the music, and I guess that fits with the Christmas season. Joy, happiness, all those fuzzy feelings we get around the holidays. What are your thoughts about the commercial? Does it make you want to dash out for a warm Gap sweater?
