Within a matter of days there can be a handful of country music videos released, especially as the weekend approaches. This week there are two new additions from one artist you’ve probably heard of and another who, quite frankly, has a better song (and video) than the former. First up is Tyler Hubbard (from Florida Georgia Line fame) with a song called “Park.”
Next up is an X Factor alumnus with a song I won’t be able to get out of my head this weekend (and I kinda don’t want to stop singing it). She goes by the name CeCe and her song is “All Boots.” Take a look at the choreographed video released today…
Hot Take #1. I don’t typically go for the type of song Tyler usually releases but I’ll be honest saying that “Park” isn’t THAT bad. I can envision it landing on some summertime playlists even if the ideas presented aren’t anything new to modern country music. Trucks. Women. Making Out. Beer Pong. Tyler sings about all the places he and his lady can go but at the end of the day, men generally want to skip all that and just kiss. A tale as old as time, huh?
“All I wanna do is park.”
Hot Take #2. CeCe wants a man with rough hands and an old Dodge Ram in the driveway. The man she gets, however, is all boots and no cowboy. From the looks of the guy, he probably drove up in a Toyota sedan, let’s just get that out there right now. I bet he doesn’t even vape! *Make smoking cigarettes cool again* This song fits in with classic country music themes of men being rough around the edges, confident, real. If the song were released in the spring, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it was the country song of the summer even if it wasn’t on every radio station. It’s got a TikTok quality to it that would make it go viral (if it already hasn’t?).
“I need a Marlboro man with some big rough hands…”
