Teenagers Getting Buicks? What the???

Everything I know about teen trends I learned from my nieces. Squatted trucks. New music. Saying “bruh” every third word. Love Island. But there’s one I never saw coming. Buick. Isn’t that our grandparents brand?

While Buick doesn’t land on this list of best cars for teens, the “It’s a Buick” lineup, and especially the Buick Encore, does definitely have the look of something a high school girl would want. Small, compact, sporty, cute.

I keep saying “that is so you” and no one gets it. I used to recoil every time one of those commercials aired. Here’s one that will have you bewildered. The soccer coach and the soccer mom, you know they’re fooling around on the weekends.

I actually really like that Buick changed their logo too, which means a lot coming from me. I generally hate logo changes, especially this one. The Buick change is subtle. They dropped the ring around the 3 shields back in 2022, the first major update since the 1990s.

I’m pretty sure it’s still considered an “old person” car but for some reason, my teenage niece loves hers. And she’s hip. She’s cool. She got a Buick… that is so her.
