There’s one thing that’s a proven, trusted, indisputable fact: SKYRIZI has the best jingle of any commercial on television. Don’t believe me? Watch the ad below and see if it doesn’t get stuck in your head for the rest of the day. But beware, there’s a disturbing amount of smiling, too. Also, I’m kinda sorry if I set you up to have the song stuck in your head all day when you have other important things to do. I’m also sorry that this commercial is going to keep you up at night.
I’ve had to call out Publix for this too: No one smiles that much. If you can, watch the SKYRIZI ad again and see if you can find anyone NOT smiling. It’s super weird and downright creepy. In fact, there’s a whole horror film franchise called Smile and that should inform us for all we need to know about smiling too much. What starts as a warm, friendly gesture turns sinister the moment a smile lingers… and lingers… and lingers. Here’s the ad reimagined as a horror movie. So basically I just changed the music and let it play.
Are you disturbed by this SKYRIZI commercial? Chime in below…

I can’t stand the Skyrizi ads, not just because of all the almost painful looking smiles, but that stupid jingle is such an earworm. Both versions – the main one for plaque psoriasis and the somewhat newer one for IBS/Crohn’s (I think). Especially the whole Millennial Whoop thing at the end, the “whoa-oh-oh-OH-oh.” Speaking of Millennials, is it me or has there been no one that appears over their early 40s in these ads? I assume that’s the target audience and they think no one older suffers from these conditions, lol
(don’t mind me, I’m just a cantankerous Gen Xer)

but…but… without Skyrizi, who’s going to remind us of the eternal truth that nothing is everythiiiiing? Yes, it does get stuck in my head, too. I try to embrace it. Especially the country music version. 😉

Heh heh… 😀 Now that you mention it, I actually don’t mind the country music version. It’s more the stylized pop versions that make me hit the mute button.

And we should give them some credit, at least they came up with an original song. My pet peeve are the ads that hijack great songs like Ozempic and Wegovy, ruining songs Oh oh oh it’s magic! and “this is me” from The Greatest Showman.

Very good point! Those are even worse. There was another that tried to ruin a Jackson 5 song, I think it was Trelegy (Trilegy?). Then they changed it to a not bad cover of the Nina Simone song “Feelin’ Good” in the background.

I know the one you’re talking about. Just saw it today but didn’t realize it was a cover of a Jackson 5 song. I even though, at least they have an original song. Darn it!
