I betcha Tyreek Hill wouldn’t have been pulled over if he was driving the Volvo EX90! Hi there. I’m Ben Wilder and that little nugget of truth was brought to you by the all-new, all-electric Volvo EX90. This isn’t a paid advertisement… however if Volvo sees this and wants to send me one, I would politely accept it. For the people.
So let’s talk about this new EX90 commercial. It shows off some wild new features I’ve never seen in a car. Some type of 3D hologram Predator stuff going on and I guess it’s supposed to make driving safer. I’m all for it.
These safety features might not be required by law, but I hope they help make a difference in road safety. There are enough distracted drivers out there to start a circus! That’s definitely not a phrase people ever use but don’t circuses have clowns driving around haphazardly in tiny cars?
The commercial features the music of a great singer/songwriter out of Nashville, Tennessee. But maybe you haven’t figured out who that is yet? His voice is one that stands out among many singers and the song used in the Volvo commercial sounds like it’s right from the climatic moment in a Broadway musical. The song is………… *Drumroll please* well, first watch the ad then scroll down for the big reveal.
The soundtrack of this ad is a song called “Extraordinary Magic” by Ben Rector. Here’s the full track from 2018 and be sure to follow Ben on X (@benrector) and Instagram (@ben_rector). He’s a great guy and probably a safe driver.
When I lived in Nashville I caught a Ben Rector show and it didn’t disappoint (except for the tall guy standing in front of me that would’t move!). A great entertainer and all he needed was a few instruments and a personality. I really appreciate when someone can captivate an audience without gimmicks. That concert was over 10 years ago but it was further back than that when I had first heard of Ben Rector at all. He did a clever cover of Tom Petty’s “Free Falling.” Check out it…
The Volvo EX90 is not available yet but Ben Rector is! If you live in Charlotte, Waco, or Orlando, get your tickets today and chime in below with what you’re looking forward to at his show. Or if you’re Tyreek Hill, maybe stop driving a supercar to work… order an EX90 and impress all your athletic friends.
