Dogs are the best, aren’t they? Nothing against cats…except that they’re totally inferior. Oh calm down, you know your cat is saying the same thing about all of us. All jokes aside, cats are cool but I’m allergic soooooooooo… if you have a cat you can’t date me. Apologies. If you have a dog, on the other hand, where should our first date be? Think about it while you watch a new commercial from The Farmer’s Dog featuring a song from 1966.
The Song. Providing the soundtrack for the commercial is The Troggs. You might know them best as the band behind the song “Wild Thing” but they have a few hits other than that one. Like the one in the commercial, called “With A Girl Like You.” Here’s the full track…
Dog lovers out there are probably connecting to the message of this song really well. I know I am. My dogs, born in Nashville, have been with me through all sorts of life events. I want to spend my life with a (dog) like you because I think I said it earlier, dogs are the best. Cats are cool, too, fine I’ll admit it.

LOVE this adorable commercial and the song is so fitting! The little white dog pulled at my heartstrings since I used to have one so similar in appearance. Thanks for the jolt of memories, both of my little dog and the band’s music!
