L.L. Bean has a new ad out in time for the holidays, and it’s just pawfect! Take a look then scroll down for more info…
The music. What a great song choice for the cute commercial. It’s “You and Me” by Penny & The Quarters. This song has an interesting history and dates back to the early 1970s.
The pup. L.L. Bean has confirmed the dog is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. I haven’t heard of this breed but if they’re anything like Whiskey (the dog’s name), they’re good actors! Whiskey is on Instagram, so if you want more priceless pics and videos, find her here: @whiskeytoller

The man. The actor playing the role of dog dad is Antonio Garcia, Jr. You can check out his demo reel on IMDB here. Also follow him on Instagram: @antoniogarciajr_ I think he did a great job in this ad. I liked seeing him talk to Whiskey in some of the clips. He’s either a dog kind of guy, or a good actor, or quite possibly… both!
The clothes. If you’re curious about the products in the ad, the plaid shirt’s color is officially called Rob Roy Tartan and can be found on their site here. The red winter shirt Antonio is wearing by the Christmas tree is what L.L. Bean calls Camp PJs and can be found here.
How do you feel about the ad? Does it make you want some L.L. Bean gear? Or does it just make you want a loyal dog even more? Chime in and merry Christmas!

I could watch the LL Bean commercial all day long. The first time I saw it I teared up with an overwhelming feeling of sadness for the dog. Just glad that he got his own shirt in the end.
