Hello and thanks for clicking on the blog today. I write and post every day at 1pm central about all kinds of things, including commercials. For more info on new (or old, depending on when you’re reading this) TV commercials, check out my Popular TV Ads page.
The newest addition to the page is about a series of ads from exercise-fitness-sports-tracker-data brand Fitbit. In these ads, they’re encouraging users to “Feel Your Power.” They’ve called on folks with niche fame (influencers on various platforms) like Petey, Leah V, Nor Diana, and Marc Rebillett.
Here’s one of the ads, then scroll down for more info about these folks…
Petey is a TikTok star and a musician. Here’s his Fitbit ad followed by the music video for a song called “California.”
Leah V is a plus-sized model and an author/influencer.
Nor Diana is “Phoenix” in the wrestling ring, seen (not wearing a Fitbit) in the match below.
Marc Rebillett is an electronic artist… who wants you to WAKE UP! And I guess he wants you to wear a Fitbit, too.
If you identify as just a normal black, white, Asian American, Native American, etc., I guess you’re just supposed to get a Garmin? Spoiler alert: Garmin’s are better anyway 🙂
Thanks for dropping in…

Talk about making a commercial that will make you NOT want to buy the product.

I hate the first commercial on the list, and it always pops on hulu a ton. I don’t really care about dollarstore johnny depp in a bathrobe yelling about moving your body
Most commercials these days are terrible and look like they’re custom made for twitter people
