Ruh roh, Raggy! We have a few great commercials from Chewy in the last couple of months. Two feature a dog and one stars a cat, Mr. Marbles… who gets a sweet inheritance in someone’s last will and testament. I’m more of a dog guy myself but the cat commercial is my favorite. Check them out below and comment on which you like best…
“Favorite Child” is a yellow Labrador Retriever, Bailey, who’s clearly loved more than her smart brother and athletic sister. But Bailey is out there living life and overcoming her haters (ticks and fleas) daily.
How do you pronounce the word “vase”? Just two homies hanging at the crib talking about random stuff like best friends do in this ad from Chewy called “Best Friend.” The way I say it rhymes with face, but I’ve never been accused of being too fancy.
And meow we get to my favorite commercial. Mr. Marbles has this quiet confidence that earned him the trust and respect of whoever just died. The person’s will states that all of Mr. Marbles needs will be met thanks to Chewy’s auto-ship feature, and he also will inherit the summer beach house. Oh, this old thing? Probably has a valuable vase or two in it, too. 😉
I prefer these commercials over the Chewy ads showing two dogs standing by the window talking about the peanut butter box. I sincerely tried to laugh at those, but just couldn’t. Something about the accent and the script just didn’t do it for me. But if they come up with an ad starring an Australian Shepherd with their awesome down-under accents, I bet I’d love that one. Which is your favorite from these new commercials?

First, I like the fact that Chewy made multiple ads instead of repeating one ad all the time. The “peanut butter box” ads were good, but repetition burnt them out. These, however, can be rotated and I believe will keep them fresh longer. As for the three, I like them all, but for different reasons. The “Favorite Child” ad is relatable to most, as we all had that other child (whether a sibling, cousin or family friend) who always got the accolades. The “Best Friends” ad is great because dogs are rarely seen as sophisticated, or advanced, and seeing the dog sitting upright like a human makes it even more funny when he cuts his buddies comment off with “Vaaaz”. I can help but say “Vaaaz” each time I see it. Lastly, “Inheritance” is hilarious in that we’ve all heard stories of eccentric pet owners leaving sums of money and other belongings to their beloved pets. But this brings those stories to life in a “reading of the will” setting, which in a way makes Mr. Marbles even more human since he has been asked to attend (and is sitting like a human). The little chuckle before he states “plot twist” is priceless. Kudos to the effects on all three as well. Thanks for posting all in one spot!

Every time I see the chewy dog commercial “VASE” I go back & repeat & I laugh. It is the best commercial EVER. Who thought of this one deserves an Academy Award. Mr. Marbles is my next fave.
The dog seems so human sitting on the sofa. Thank you chewy for brightening my days.

My go worker says he is the owner of marbles the cat. Said he real name is Louie. We live in Daytona Florida. His name is Dave. Is this true?
