Toyota’s SUV commercial – The music and more!

Toyota has a new ad highlighting the capability of their SUVs in modern American life. In this ad, the SUVs are on pavement, gravel, and off-road trails and is there anywhere else you’d need an SUV? I think not! I guess Toyota thinks not, too. But having these big vehicles comes in clutch for an outdoor showing of The Secret Life of Pets 2. Take a look…

The music. The song in this ad is “Run Wild” by Nashville singer Laney Jones. What a perfect song for this ad! Here is the full song for your listening pleasure.

You can also find it on Spotify here.

But wait, there’s more. Other than the SUVs and the music, you might also notice the sneaky ad for Android Auto. In other words, how do you say the SUV has Android Auto without saying the SUV has Android Auto? Just show it. Take that Apple Music!

Lights, camera, action. One of the kiddos in the final scene is looking at the camera. Most likely, the director (nearby, behind the camera) is giving instructions to the kids closest to the camera; therefore, the back row of kids might think they aren’t on camera at the time, so they watch the action. Anyone who’s working with kids on camera knows how often this can happen!

Rabbit time. One of the kids is wearing a rabbit costume, and holds a rabbit.

I loved rabbits as a child and for Halloween wore a rabbit costume for probably 5 years in a row. And yes, it was entirely too small for me by the third year. Did I care? Nope.

Be a fan. You can find Laney Jones on her social channels… Twitter and website and Facebook… and here is her reaction to being featured in the Toyota ad, as seen on her Facebook page…
