Original mazes by Ben Wilder

I forgot how much I love drawing mazes! Doing these at my dining room table offered a couple of beneficial things: 1. clear my mind of anything else going on in my life… and 2. creative and critical thinking. Here are a few I’ve done in the last couple of weeks.

Can you guess what these are? [part 1]

Let’s play a little guessing game, shall we? I was downtown the other day and snapped a few pictures of things I found interesting. By just looking at the close up images, can you guess what they are? After each image, scroll down to find out what it is. Let me know in the comments how many you got right!

What is this? (scroll down to find out)

Twinkies

The other day I stopped by a Dollar Tree store and wouldn’t you know, when I came out I did something so embarrassing.

Can you tell which car is mine? Right. I couldn’t either. The story goes that I nonchalantly left the store oblivious to the world around me. I unlocked the car, grabbed the handle of the rear driver side door to unload the bag of new stuff. It didn’t open. I thought, “Why didn’t the door unlock when I pressed the button? Hey, my windows look tinted. This is weird. What’s that stuff in my back seat?”

…and that’s when I realized I almost broke into someone else’s car.

16 song titles that are only numbers

I was listening to a SiriusXM station that was dedicated to all Prince music for an entire month and it was fantastic. There were so many songs I hadn’t heard before and because of that, I realized the artist formerly known as Prince had a lot of song titles that were just numbers, for example, “1999” and “7.” Being a thinking man, I wondered how many other songs out there are titled with only numbers? As it turns out, there are a lot! Being a man that loves lists, here are a few of those songs. Do you have any to add? List them in the comments below!

“7” Prince

“3121” Prince

“777-9311” Prince

“1999” Prince

“17” Julia Michaels

“123456” Fitz and the Tantrums

“867-5309” Tommy Tutone

“8” Billie Eilish

“1979” Smashing Pumpkins

“1985” Bowling for Soup

“5150” Van Halen

“5-1-5-0” Dierks Bentley

“1234” Feist

“40” U2

“15” Taylor Swift

“21” Taylor Swift

Honorable mentions:
“One” Three Dog Night / “One” U2

Beagle only gets up for food

Piper the dog is quite the character. She is the most adorably stubborn beagle and if you know anything about beagles, you know they are food-driven. Check out how she reacts pretty much every time I say “let’s eat!”
