If you’ve been at home Zillaxing (relaxing by scrolling through Zillow, hat tip: Laura Barnehama) and had the TV on, you might have seen this new, very funny, Zillow ad called “Susans.” Check it out then scroll down for more info…
The actress. All of Susan’s personalities are played by actress Molly Lloyd. Check out her IMDB page here and her Instagram is @MollySchmoyd. She is an actor, director, writer, and mom… and quite funny in this commercial. The happy reaction as Gullible Me is why I have watched this commercial over and over, along with the “bluh” from Lazy Me.
Also, do you recognize the voice in this Invisalign ad? Bonus points if you do!
Split personality. Let’s talk about all the sides we saw of Molly’s character, Susan. After entering the room, she addresses her following personalities: Negative Me, Spontaneous Me, Paranoid Me, Anti-Social Me, Lazy Me, Stressed Me, Helpful Me, and Gullible Me.
The team. Susan works at Susan, Susan & Susan, an amount of same names only rivaled by the John Morgan of Morgan & Morgan commercials, am I right? Susan lives in Atlanta with her husband, who appears at the end of the spot.
The crew. I count at least 30 women sitting at this very long desk, meaning Susan has over 30 different personality traits to balance.

Cup of Joe. Production even went to the lengths of making Susan, Susan & Susan mugs. You can find a completely different mug but still has the name Susan on it, on Amazon here.

I didn’t catch this the first time I watched but another Susan walks in late. This is probably “Always Late Me.” We can all relate to this one, no?

Anti-Social Me is reading Metromag, a magazine that we know for sure has pictures of owls in it. More specifically, this is a barn owl. Hooo hooo….
Credits. Production credits are as follows:
Director: Jim Jenkins
Agency: FIG
Edited by: MACKCUT
VFX: The Mill
Thanks for stopping by!

I love this commercial as it shows that you must be the custodian of all aspects of yourself to make balanced and informed decisions. Especially when making a large purchase like a home.

This commercial is very clever. It’s cute. Not sure why some reviews act like it’s the worst thing ever. I actually want to see more versions with other personalities.

I find that commercial as funny as “nails on a chalkboard”. The last sequence of “me’s” is gut-wrenching in it’s narcissistic rant that some mis-guided writer thought was funny?

Depicts in the most humorous way, one moment in the life of someone who is diagnosed with DID (dissociative identity disorder).
Thank you Zillow, (people misunderstand the challenges of DID) your commercial is AWESOME 🙂
“shine a light on it”
