What’s Tecovas and What’s That Song In Their Commercial?

During the final game of baseball’s World Series (where Freddie Freeman earned MVP) a commercial aired and drew me right in. It was the horses. It was the bison. It was the song. But to be honest, I didn’t even know what the commercial was about until I watched it again. Check it out and then scroll down for more info…

The Music. Backing the commercial is a song called “Faraway Skies” by Dean Johnson. The song was released in 2023 and the video was filmed in Wyoming. Take a look…

My Take. I love the song they chose for the Tecovas commercial. The sound compliments the visuals so well. What I don’t like is the subtle message that… we make boots! Maybe those who know, know. But for someone who’s evidently not a real cowboy, I had no idea what the ad was selling me. And yes, Tecovas makes boots. They’re also woven into the Yellowstone universe so that can’t be a bad thing. After watching the ad over again, there is a focus on the footwear that’s not hard to miss the 4th and 5th time around. But for viewers who have only seen it once on TV or streaming (but they don’t take the time to be nerdy like me, looking up the commercial to find out who in the western tumbleweed Tecavas is) I wonder if the product gets lost in the visuals.

But who doesn’t like horses and bison, right? Nothing says wild west like horses running freely and bison stomping through a dusty plain. For those things in the ad, I’ll say that I liked it. But for purposes of selling a product, the ad is a miss. I’ll wrap this up with one of my favorite photos from my camping trip out west featuring a lone bison walking up a Caprock Canyon State Park road. Wild. Big. Beautiful.

Tesla Cybercab Commercial – The Music, The Dates, and More

Tesla. Elon Musk. Why am I writing anything here when all you want to do is watch the commercial and find out what song’s in the ad? Fine, then! Have it your way. Here’s the ad then scroll down for the song info.

When I look up recipes, top 10 lists, etc, the few paragraphs before are an utter waste, am I right? So I totally understand why you didn’t want me to write anything at the top of this post, you rascal. But here I am yapping about our preferences when all you want is…

The Song. Backing this ad is a 2024 song called “Pura Vida” by Youval Ziso (@youval_ziso). Check out the full track below.

But Wait. There’s More! This robot taxi isn’t available yet so don’t get too excited. Production is scheduled to begin in 2026 so for now, keep your driver’s license handy and your Uber app up-to-date.

I support anyone fully committed to voting for a woman President

There’s been a lot of talk about the United States being on the precipice of electing their first female president. Unlike some commercials, you don’t have to be scared to cast your vote for your next president, Jill Stein. Of course, if you’re debating between Jill and Kamala Harris (the other woman running for president), check out JillStein2024.com to find all the answers you need, then head to your local voting location and fill in the ballot for Jill. Enjoy being on the right side of history on this one and be proud that you’re doing your part to send Jill to the White House!

Democrats Think Conservative Men Are Sociopaths and Women Are Weak

Make Women Strong Again. There are two new commercials airing in support of Harris/Walz. In the ads, white men (the husbands) are portrayed as controlling sociopaths and white women (the wives) are weak and scared. When it comes time to fill out their ballot, the women vote for Harris even though they’ve told their husbands they support Trump. Take a look at the two commercials then scroll down for more. One is by a Christian group called Vote Common Good and the other is from The Lincoln Project.

These commercials come on the heels of Kamala conversationally saying that she needs more men to vote Democrat. Kamala’s campaign friends are clearly feminists and/or gay men (Obama?)… exhibit A, this ad that is not a parody. While Tim Walz and Doug Emhoff are embracing their bromance (I guess that would be exhibit B), the rest of the Dems are portraying all MAGA men as the kind of guy on Handmaid’s Tale, which is probably all the research they did into the matter. Heaven forbid that there might be good men on both sides (I know, that’s a taboo phrase to Democrats!). Although, I’m suspicious Kamala has anyone with common sense in her inner circle. Especially when they think it’s a good idea to say they want America to look like Detroit, one of the most dangerous cities in the country.

I don’t understand how it’s even possible, but most Democrats will be voting for Kamala and Tim even though she praises her record as VP in one breath and in the next, says she’s not going to be a continuation of the Biden/Harris administration. Tim Walz, where do we even start? He’s the Uncle Rico of politics, living his best life as a coach from two decades ago.

Of course, these are also the Democrats who believe Beyoncé is doing a concert with Kamala tonight. Maybe the third time’s the charm, right?

Move Over Taylor Swift, Here’s Jennie

Ok, it’s not so much move over as it is scoot over. There’s room in the world for two huge superstars and we all know one of those spots is taken by the uber famous Taylor Swift for the foreseeable future. But what about that empty 2nd spot? Beyonce? Nah. Bad Bunny? Pass. Celine Dion? Possibly. But after I created this Jennie music video post, I found out how famous Jennie actually is. You might say she’s the Korean equal of 2010s-era Taylor Swift.

Jennie has all kinds of endorsement deals (clothing, makeup, fragrances, and more) and if she’s not considered world-famous yet, she’s well on her way. Maybe she just needs to a date an NFL tight end to really make her famous. I mean, who knew who Taylor Swift was before she started dating Travis Kelce, right!?

Jennie released her music video for “Mantra” and in 18 days it’s already at 68 million views. That’s an average of 3.77 million views per day. To put this in perspective: Taylor Swift’s latest music video (from 2 months ago) is averaging 350,000 views per day. 😮

As a follow up, Jennie added a dance video for “Mantra.” Check it out, along with a few of the same burning classic cars, minus the DeLorean (thank goodness!).

Who can stand in the way of Jennie taking over as the world’s #1 superstar?
