I used to dream about alligators chasing me, now I dream about alligators chasing my dogs. I don’t know if that means I’ve become less selfish or what. But also now that my home base is Florida, alligators are a real threat. Actually, alligators are why I stopped going to this dog park. Fences are why I started going back to that dog park.
I have beagles so one thing that’s true for that breed is they go everywhere nose first. One of my fears is that their noses take them to these dangerous places where alligators and snakes live.
For now, though, it’s only in my dreams and I wake up very happy that it’s not real life! I also have these dreams, too. I try hard to protect my dogs from harm whether it’s gators, snakes, busy roads, eating bad things, and a million other things. Do you do the same for your pets?
There are 3 people in this commercial but oddly enough, Elliot Page and Elliot Page alone is the man, the myth, the woman. Somehow she fits all three. I say “she” because not long ago Elliot was Ellen and had a promising career in Hollywood. Time will tell if her career will still flourish after transitioning to a man. Only in a mythical world is a commercial like this remotely acceptable in society, but here we are! The other two people in the ad are actress Julia Garner and rapper A$AP Rocky. I don’t know if either of those two are gay or straight or bi or non-binary, but Julia is married to a man and Rocky is dating Rihanna (the birthing person who performed at the Super Bowl halftime). The Music. The song used in this ad is from 1955. It’s called “Life Is But a Dream” by the R&B group The Harptones.
Isn’t it ironic? Another commercial viewer pointed out the irony in the commercial. I’m sure Gucci supports every gender people have dreamt up, but then they put this at the end of the ad… “pour home and pour femme” which is French for, “for men and for women”. Someone also pointed out that if Gucci were genuinely inclusive, wouldn’t they just have one fragrance for everyone?
Gucci attempts to be provocative and edgy but the commercial just points out what every normal man dreams of, as stated in this comment…
All joking aside, ads like this will come and go but truth will always remain. How do you feel about the commercial? Will fans think it’s a hit or an ick?
Bud Light is 100% out of the beer biz in their new commercial for a bubbly seltzer. Evidently the general public mostly thought the seltzers contained beer but this commercial will set things straight, at least that’s what Bud is hoping. The Music. Fitting for a bright and colorful commercial that they’d use a song called “Colors.” It’s by Black Pumas. You may also recognize the song from its appearance in the Netflix move We Have a Ghost.
The seltzer DOES contain alcohol but it’s not beer. So if you’re already a raging alcoholic and think you can quit whenever you want, don’t drink these or else you’ll prove true the lyrics in this Brad Paisley song.
Today’s post is somewhat of a part 2 to yesterday’s writing but, like a handful of movie sequels, this one can stand on its own, too. I’ll say this though, the two posts are similar, especially considering the theories surrounding a former First Lady. I started off yesterday with the word, “absurd.” I decided that was one of the most important takeaways because there isn’t a whole lot of evidence to support the claim that Michelle Obama was once a guy named Michael Robinson. It’s a pretty outlandish idea but there are people who believe it, or at least think it’s possible. The way crazy things have unfolded in the last few years might soften the reception if it were to ever come out as being true.
But there IS something a little peculiar out there and I’d love to know your take on it. As I was researching, I came across a magazine dedicated to showing off fashion and style among the trans community. It’s called “Candy Magazine” and it’s been around for over a decade. Side bar to promote another of my posts: I’m sure they/them at Candy Magazine loved this confusing Hershey’s commercial.
Back to the magazine… one particular set of covers in 2012 featured a trans-woman being sworn in as President.
The publisher of the magazine, Luis Venegas, had this to say about the photo session, which would probably not go over so well if he said it in 2023:
It’s been 11 years since those covers went public and, now more than ever, a trans-person being elected to the top political office doesn’t seem so far-fetched. Lately, some politicians get picked and/or elected based on their gender, race, or sexual preference despite their (lack of?) qualifications. Was that cover a foreshadowing of things to come? Time will tell.

Absurd. The idea that the woman we’ve known for quite some time as the First Lady and now a former First Lady might’ve actually been born a man is ludicrous. It’s kind of like the people who claim birds aren’t real. But there are questions that might never be answered, like…
This week on Twitter, the name “Michael Obama” was trending. It’s not the first time questions surrounding Michelle Obama’s gender have surfaced. But why now, in 2023? I can’t answer that but there’s a clip going around from years ago, Joan Rivers before her suspicious death where she talks about Michelle being trans.
That’s a little odd, right? Why would she say something like that? Is Barack actually gay? Not long after this video recording, Joan Rivers passed away during a “routine” surgery. Did she get the Hillary Clinton treatment or what? Why are there pictures floating around with Michelle “adjusting” her crotch? Have you ever seen a photo of a pregnant Michelle? It’s a little crazy that if this theory were true it would mean Barack Obama is married to a trans-woman. Now I’ m replaying in my head the scene of Ace Ventura using a plunger on his face after he found out he kissed a man.
